Can I use the Legacy Competition basketball outdoors?
You definitely can, but it’s designed for indoor courts. Concrete and asphalt will wear down its softer composite leather cover much faster. If you mainly play outside, the Legacy Pickup is the better choice.
Which size should I choose?
Legacy Competition comes in sizes 6 and 7. Size 6 is generally used for women’s basketball and younger players; size 7 is generally used for older boys’ and men’s basketball. Check the size your team or competition uses before ordering and then reference our ball sizing chart accordingly.
Will it feel grippy straight out of the box?
The ball has a composite leather cover and deep channels designed for grip and control. Feel is personal, though, and a new ball can feel different from the one you’re used to. The best way to judge it is to play with it on an indoor court.
Does it need to be broken in?
You can start playing with it when it arrives and many players prefer the touch and feel of a brand new ball. So while it doesn't need to be broken in, some players may prefer a ball with high usage.
Will it hold its air?
Legacy Competition uses a butyl bladder designed for air retention. Check the pressure marked on the ball and top it up when needed; avoid overinflating it.
But yes, our balls retain their air to the highest of standards.
What if I play with it and don’t like it?
Clutch Elite advertises a 30-day “Try It, Scuff It” return policy for basketballs. You can request a return within 30 days of receiving it, even after trying it. Contact info@clutchelite.shop before sending it back.
